I just finished watching an episode on living big in a tiny home, and as always, am left feeling so inspired. This time with a wonderful young family from New Zealand. They just sold their house and are now living the dream, exploring beautiful New Zealand in their cool tiny home.

This tiny house is very compact in order to comply with the country's regulations to be on the road. Though it's very minimalist, it is basically complete with all home necessities like a full-sized shower, a toilet, a small kitchen complete with an oven and small fridge, and also a bed. There are also solar panels up on the roof so they could be completely off the grid and would be able to park anywhere when they travel.

What I love most about this tiny house is how bright, spacious, and airy it looks like inside with big windows taking up most of the wall space. I love how the day bed is tucked into one end of the house with an enormous window above it. And the bar area is absolutely amazing. The window folds out and the bar can be accessed from both inside and from the slide out deck outside.

Home for the next few days 😍⠀ .⠀ We almost bypassed this beautiful paradise. We were told it would be better for us to base ourselves at Paihia and ferry over to Russell for a quick look because the drive from where we were staying wasn't the best (gravel road) and it's small... but I'm so glad we decided to base ourselves in Russell. Granted it's small but the setting is exactly what we love! The town has character, great food and it's right on the water front! Definately the sort of town we'd like to check out a few times!⠀ .⠀ And our accom has the most beautiful setting! It's actually one of my favs so far!⠀ .⠀

Imagine sitting in the house at the bar having a cup of tea, looking out into the ocean. And in a few days, another different view. Maybe mountains, fields, or wherever. It's such a wonderful way to live. Without the constraints of a 9 to 5 job, being able to spend quality time with their little growing princess, and discovering beautiful new places together. 

To live simply and to be able to invest ourselves in the things that matter most. I am very inspired.

I wish this lovely family the most wonderful life.
